Okay we are all proud of our children and grandchildren but today our 6 year old granddaughter had 8 inches of her hair cut off so that she could send it to the 'poorly' children who lose their hair. She decided at the weekend that she wanted a 'poorly' girl or boy to have the hair she didn't really need it.
At the moment she has also raised £100 for the Little Primcess Trust
Very proud and touched by her empathy.
What an amazing young lady your granddaughter is @mrsblazer you have every right to be proud of her.
Thanks @Jade. She telephoned tonight to tell us how she is going to post it in a special bag.
Then trypical 6 year old she told me how she had fallen in the brambles and that it is going to rain for a week
Oh bless her.
She has done really well with her fund raising @mrsblazer, what an amazing person she is.
You have every right to be proud, she has become such a thoughtful, giving person because of her home life @mrsblazer, so you can all be very proud.
I think she will grow up to be a very special person @mrsblazer with a heart like hers
What an amazing perception and attitude she has for one so young - I know all the family will be soo proud of her
Just an update, yesterday our granddaughter had a thank you for her hair donation. She was thrilled. She is still fundraising and is well on her way to £300 not bad as she initially said £50!
Thought I'd share the hair photos.
Caitlin has done so well @mrsblazer. Her hair is still quite long and will soon be back to its original length but Caitlin obviously has such a good heart she does not seem too worried about herself.
There are a lot of children, and adults for that matter, who could learn about empathy and compassion as well as charity from Caitlin. We hear so much bad news about youngsters but this is the sort of news that should make headlines.
Congratulations Caitlin X

That's wonderful @mrsblazer Claitlyn has done amazing.
